Plenary Topic: Status (Epidemiology) of HIV in Africa: Where are we now?

Dr. Akudo Ikpeazu is a public health physician with a doctorate in public health. Dr. Ikpeazu has worked extensively for over two decades in multi-sectoral HIV and TB programmes, health systems, and maternal health, advising national and international organizations and contributing to policies and programmes that improve population health.

She currently serves and the Team Lead for HIV, Tuberculosis, Hepatitis and STIs in the WHO Regional Office for Africa,where she continues to navigate the questions of: what works? Who is left behind? And how do we turn evidence into action?
